Dakota Duarte Named ABC of Alabama Safety Professional of the YEar

Stone Building Company’s Dakota Duarte has been named ABC of Alabama’s 2026 Safety Professional of the Year.

ABC of Alabama President Jay Reed said, “Dakota has consistently represented Stone Building Company with professionalism, passion, and integrity. His top priority is ensuring that workers have the resources, training, and support they need to return home safely to their families. Dakota is certainly deserving of this recognition and has been extremely involved with enhancing worker safety across the industry.”

After receiving the award, Duarte said, “I never would have imagined, even in a million years, that I would be receiving this award. It is truly an honor to stand among those who have received it before me, and I am still at a loss for words.

This recognition means so much to me, to my family, and to everyone at Stone Building. To me, it reflects the power of showing up every day with dedication and perseverance.

While this award might carry my name, it represents so much more than just one person. It represents the incredible men and women I have the privilege of working alongside each day. None of this would be possible without the support, commitment, and spirit of the Stone family.”
