HOMEWOOD, Ala. (WIAT) — Construction on a new mixed-use development in west Homewood is swiftly moving along following its initial proposal in 2023.
The space along Oxmoor Rd. off of I-65 was once home to an Econo Lodge motel. That motel was demolished in October 2023.
Soon the 10,000 square foot construction lot will be home to a retail space and restaurant as well as lofts and townhomes.
